To the Editor:

   Your readers look to this paper for news and news commentary. It is therefore with puzzlement and dismay that we read the assertion that "The Kadima Party...could not win the support of other parties to form a governing coalition".  If that assertion is not a baseless fabrication, that would be news. The president asked Mr. Netanyahu to form a government, and the latter did so. The leader of Kadima was never given that opportunity.
