The American electorate has expressed a desire for change. Surely this includes an embrace of the rule of law, rather than the rule of men, abroad as much as at home. Our relationships with Pinochet, Pahlevi, Marcos, Noriega, Minh and others stain the 20th century. If the 21st century is to be better than the last, it will be because the U.S. will have learned to respect Democracy.Barry Levine1142 Brown AveLafayette, CA 94549
